Well, the way the prices work is simple economics. See, there are only a limited number of seats and, in theory, more people than the number of seats, that want to see Beyonce.
So, after all costs are figured in, "she" hires some pricing specialists to figure how much people are will to pay (the market is willing to bare) for her product. She charges the most she can and works in the tier system because, obviously noone is going to pay the same amount for a seat in row ZZZ as they would for row A.
So, it's basically down to the tenants of economics, supply and demand!
