Concentration Review - by Valli S.
This is a classic game of mix and match. There is either a one or a two player game. If you are playing against the computer, you compete against Professor Rebus at one of three levels of difficulty. If you are playing a two player game, then you play against family members or friends. At first this game seems easy enough because you just have to match the squares. It is a new take on the old television game Concentration.
The music is very upbeat with what sounds like saxophones and a bass guitar. There is really no music that is played when you are trying to make matches or when you are trying to solve the puzzle. I assume that the makers of this game felt that music would be too distracting to the players. There are sounds of talking, cheering and clapping when matches are made and when the puzzle is solved. For this category, I gave it a rating of 7.
SOUND & MUSIC: 7
I ended up making a lot of matches, but the computer almost always solved the puzzle and won the game. This was the easy level! There were three levels that could be played with the computer: easy, medium and difficult. I gave this category a rating of 8.
GAMEPLAY: 8
The graphics consisted of pieces of the Concentration board as well as parts of the puzzle when the pieces were overturned. The graphics were bright and really stood out. There was also a board where the prizes you had one were kept track of. I gave this category a rating of 8.

I liked this game of Concentration because I love matching games. This brought back many memories of playing Concentration with the television as well as with the board game. It shows you how good – or bad – a memory you have. I found it rather easy to make the matches but solving the puzzle was a different story! I had about 40 seconds to guess the puzzle, and if I did not give the correct answer then the computer always beat me to the punch. I gave this category a rating of 9.
FUN: 9
Final conclusion:
If you are the type of person who likes to test your memory, then I say Concentration is your bag! Children’s memories are usually very good so they may actually enjoy this game.
