Abra Academy
Abra Academy Game Review

Abra Academy Review - by Valli S.

As the name suggests, I felt to this game had something to do with magic. The Wizard Constantin reminded me of Dumbledor in Harry Potter. I went to various rooms such as the library, Wendy’s room and the laboratory. There I had to find the hidden objects.

When you first open the game, you are greeted by the sound of a full orchestra. The music also has humming in the background. It is a mysterious and magical type of music. There are sounds of the boiling pot, and the gargoyle makes a grunting sound as he goes to douse the fire under the pot. I gave this category a rating of 6.
SOUND & MUSIC: 6

There are 24 levels in all in this computer game. I seemed to get stuck on the first year second-level. I found everything but the teapot. Apparently you only get three hints in the entire level, and I used all of mine up. I finally did make it past the Angeline Room. Some of the objects were so dark that I could barely see them. I also made it past the basement, and then my time expired. When I reached the basement, I got three more fairies to give me hints. I gave this category a rating of 8.
GAMEPLAY: 8

There is a bubbling cauldron stoked by a burning fire that is 3-D in nature and very realistic! A gargoyle comes in when you have clicked too many times on various objects and sprays the fire to put it out. There were various objects in different rooms that had to be found. Some of these objects were so dark that I thought they were just part of the background. I gave this category a rating of 7.

In a way, I had fun finding the various objects because it was challenging, but in another way I got very frustrated when I could not find the objects in question. I would search with all of my might and would come up empty! Some of these objects were placed so selectively that I don’t think they were meant to be found. I gave this category a rating of 7.
FUN: 7

Final conclusion:
If you like the Where’s Waldo books, then you will love this game. Instead of finding Waldo, you have to find various hidden objects which may be a challenge for the younger set although many times children are much better at this sort of thing then we adults are. If you would like to focus your eyes on the hidden objects then you may download this game below.
