Snapshot Adventures Review - by Valli S.
As this game implies, you are asked to take pictures. You do not know exactly what kind of pictures you are to take until after you’ve read the introduction to the game. Then you find out that it is your task to take pictures of various birds. It seems easy enough at first, but in order to gain a maximum number of points you have to capture the bird in just the right position. It is not as easy as it looks!
When you first begin, there is a beautiful playing of guitars. There are sounds of birds in the background which makes you feel like you’re on a nature walk trying to find your favorite birds. The sounds of the birds are very realistic especially that of the Blue Jay and the Cardinal. I gave this category a rating of 9.
SOUND & MUSIC: 9
Colonel Perkins is the one who gives the shooting assignments. He also gives you various attachments to put on your camera in order to get better shots of the birds. Your job is to get five pictures of a certain type of bird such as Robins, Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles and more. There are even bonus rounds where you can take pictures of more birds for additional points. You also get to choose which picture of the bird goes into the album. It can either be a new shot or the old one. You must decide which one is better so that you can get the maximum amount of points. I felt that this category deserved a rating of 9.
GAMEPLAY: 9
When you first begin the game, there is a map of the United States to indicate where you must travel to meet the various people in your life. There is also a lovely park with plush green grass, trees, flowers, a park bench and a trash can. There are also very many species of birds which were all very realistic looking. I gave this category a solid rating of 10!
GRAPHICS: 10
If I was a shutterbug and knew a lot about different settings and accessories on a camera, I could have taken much better pictures than what I did. I did enjoy taking pictures of the birds and picking out the photos I wanted to keep and which ones I chose to discard. I gave this category a rating of 8.
FUN: 8
Final conclusion:
If you like bird watching and taking photographs of these beautiful creatures, then you will be sure to enjoy this game. If you like to be in tune with nature, then this game is definitely for you.
