The Apprentice: Los Angeles Review - by Valli S.
In this game you must choose your own character and then choose the team you wish to work with. The person you see at the beginning of the game greatly resembles Donald Trump. As I later learned during the session in the board room it was indeed him. Apparently Mr. Trump has a television series entitled The Apprentice. My first impression of this game is that it would be relatively easy to waitress in a sushi restaurant. It seemed not! I clicked on the food that my customer wanted, but the chefs could not deliver it. I found out later on that I had to click on the food items in the proper order. I found out a lot of things about this game but unfortunately it was eating into my time that I had to play The Apprentice Los Angeles.
When you are trying to figure out who your character is, there is orchestra music playing in the background which seems to give a sense of urgency. When I began to play the game, the music resembled that of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean! When you are speaking to the boss in the board room, the music becomes pensive and then it is back to the Pirates of the Caribbean theme. There are sounds of pouring tea, coins jingling and the sounds of a cash register. I gave this category a rating of 7 points.
SOUND & MUSIC: 7
There are 10 tasks to complete all together. In the sushi restaurant, you have to make sure to click on the customer’s items in order or else the customers will never get served. Although I served the two customers, I was told that I was not doing such a hot job! The customers each have a patience meter, and when it runs out they leave the restaurant with a mad expression on their faces. I could only complete the first level as I was just not fast enough to handle four customers at once. There is also a matching game incorporated within The Apprentice Los Angeles when Mr. Trump is deciding who to fire. As far as this game goes, I gave it a rating of 6.
GAMEPLAY: 6
The graphics resembled a typical Japanese restaurant. There was also a very nice clothing store set up where you have one of your team members work. Both of these places were bright and cheery and suited the game well. The board room was rather somber, but then it suited the nature of the game which was upbraiding the team players who were failing. I thought this category deserved a rating of 7.

I really did enjoy playing the game on the part that I could play. It is just that this game is very fast paced and I am slow by nature. In the beginning, my customers kept getting angry and leaving the restaurant. Then I figured out that I had to serve more customers at one time. At times I would leave the money at the customers place just to allow me time to catch my breath! Because I really did like The Apprentice Los Angeles, I gave it a rating of 7.
FUN: 7
Final conclusion:
I would definitely recommend this game for the younger set as they are probably a lot faster than us "oldsters"! I would say that it would be a good experience to see what waiters and waitresses really do in the real world. The Apprentice Los Angeles also has a matching game within it that would appeal to the younger set.
