Recyclorama Review - by Valli S.
At first impression this game seems simple enough. You are just picking up various items from a conveyor belt to be sorted for recycling. Then you deliver the compacted items to a waiting delivery truck.
The music is a rather jazzy type of elevator music. It changes periodically throughout the game making it less monotonous for the player. They only sound effect that I did not think was too realistic was that of the truck horn. The factory whistle sounded just like the real thing! In order to spice up the game, I felt that more sound effects would be helpful. Therefore, I only gave this category a rating of 6 out of a possible 10 points.

There are different monetary goals to be met with Recyclorama. There is a regular goal and an expert goal which has a higher value. As you progress farther into the game another conveyor belt is brought in. The different trucks tell you which items you are to recycle. Just as another conveyor belt was added, so another washing machine was added so that you can wash more recyclable items at once. Other trucks are brought in so that you are filling up more than one truck at a time. I thought the game stopped at adding to conveyor belts that I was wrong! Just as three conveyor belts were added, my time to assess the game ended. I gave this category an 8 out of a possible 10 points.
GAMEPLAY: 8
The graphics to this game are light and cheery. They seem to fall right into line with the music. The colors of the trucks are a pretty green, ran, yellow and blue. The various items to be recycled also stands out in different colors. I rated this category an 8 out of 10 possible points.

For me, Recyclorama was fun to play. I had to stay on my toes to reach the goals. However, as I progressed through the game it became harder and harder. I not only had to deal with two conveyor belts and washers but now I had two trucks to fill. This game never became monotonous because it always kept me challenged. I gave this computer game a whopping 9 out of 10 points.
FUN: 9
Final conclusion:
I would certainly recommend this game for young and old alike. It may be hard for the other children to keep up with the challenge that this game has to offer. I feel that the more coordinated you are the better you will be at this game.
