Lighthouse Lunacy
Lighthouse Lunacy Game Review

Lighthouse Lunacy Review - by Valli S.

There are more than 30 levels to this game, and you must complete a level in order to unlock the next one. At first impression, Lighthouse Lunacy seems easy enough to play. It is simple enough to move the boxes to the lower-level until you are timed, that is! In one level you only have 15 seconds to get the two boxes to the lower level of the lighthouse. You may think it is a piece of cake but it isn’t. This is my first impression of playing Lighthouse Lunacy.

There are very realistic sounds of seagulls and water lapping against the brick lighthouse. The music is rather lighthearted and gay, but it also gets to be rather monotonous. I think a variation of music would have been just what the doctor ordered for this game. I gave this category a rating of 5 out of 10 points.
SOUND & MUSIC: 5

Lil Fred has a conversation with you before the game begins. It is your job to push packages from the higher levels to the lower level of the lighthouse. Watch out not to stack packages on top of each other because you will lose the level. If you play a level too many times, it will let you do an auto solution so you can go on to the next level. As far as hints go, it really does not give any. I feel one way to enhance this game is to pepper hints throughout the levels so the player will not get discouraged and want to give up. As far as rating the Gameplay goes, I gave this category 7 out of 10 points.

The graphics in this computer game are very bright. The water is lapping against the red brick lighthouse in 3-D style. There are something like mountains in the background, but they are not very realistic. I could not even tell what they were until my daughter pointed them out to me. I gave this category a rating of 5 out of 10 points as I felt more graphics would make the game more appealing.

This game is all right for people who have a lot of time on their hands and wish to take the time to figure out in what order the boxes must be pushed to the lower-level of the lighthouse. It requires brainpower to play this game, and the best thing I can liken it to is putting together a jigsaw puzzle. For the average computer game player this game can be a challenge. My teenager did not like this game as she felt it was too difficult. I would only give Lighthouse Lunacy 6 out of 10 points.
FUN: 6

Final conclusion:
If patience is not one of your virtues, then I would not recommend this computer game. I would also not recommend this game for younger children as they would be too apt to give up on it. However, if you are looking to stimulate your brain then this game may be just for you.
