Cathy's Caribbean Club
Cathy's Caribbean Club Game Review

Cathy's Caribbean Club Review - by Julie K.

This game is all about making smoothies for your customers. You have to make sure to give them the proper ingredients in the proper glass or else they will not take it. There are three different modes-adventure, free play and crazy mode. You make money by serving smoothies to your customers. Do not let them run out of patience. Customers tell you the recipe of the smoothie they want. To prepare the smoothie, click the buttons in correct order. Reach the goal to beat the level. Serve the smoothies quickly to earn customer service Quality Stars. Click on the glass to pick it up. You can carry two glasses at the same time. Click on the customer to give them the smoothie. After a customer has finished a smoothie, get rid of the empty glass. You cannot serve a customer who has an empty glass in front of them.

Cathy's Caribbean Club has upbeat Latino type music that really seemed to fit the nature of the game. The customers make sounds but I could not tell what they were saying. There are sounds of seagulls in the distance, sounds when stars are given, and a boat whistle as the parrot flies by. There are also the sounds of clapping when your goal is met. Since this game did relatively well in this category, I gave it a rating of 8.
SOUND & MUSIC: 8

There are almost 50 levels in this game and they are all timed. It is your job to complete all the stages marked by flowers to finish the adventure. You can buy upgrades at the upgrades store icon on the map. These upgrades will help to serve the customers better and will help you make more money. Upgrades are bought with stars so try to get as many as you can. VIP customers give you more Quality Stars than common customers so keep them happy. Giving a decorated smoothie to a customer restores his patience meter and will also earn you an extra Quality Star. Barmen and juicers- Get these upgrades to prepare smoothies faster and even automatically. You can buy a tray for carrying more smoothies at once. Live shows- Musicians and dancers will keep customers entertained and make them more patient. Parrot- This smart parrot picks up all of the empty glasses and throws them into the sink. Centerpieces- Customers at tables with centerpieces will give you more Quality Stars. Since I was captivated with this game from start to finish, I gave this category a rating of 9.
GAMEPLAY: 9

These were just some of the graphics found in Cathy's Caribbean Club: customers from various walks of life and professions, a parrot, a sandy beach, palm trees, the ocean, a surf board, people lying out on the beach, an island, clouds passing over the island, patience meter, a blender, Quality Stars, beach ball, sink, beach towels and tables where customers are seated. Since this game was very rich in graphics, I gave this category a rating of 9.

This game was exhilarating to play, but I had to be on my toes about delivering the right smoothie to my customers. If I did not earn the goal then I had to repeat the level until I made enough money. Since I am not that fast at computer games, the time element made me go back and repeat several levels. My 14-year-old daughter, on the other hand, whizzed through most of the levels! Since this game kept my interest level captivated, I gave this category a rating of 9.
FUN: 9

Final conclusion:
I would certainly recommend Cathy's Caribbean Club as a refreshing change of pace from your usual computer games. The music, sounds and graphics were enough to keep my interest piqued throughout the game.
