Chicken Chase
Chicken Chase Game Review

Chicken Chase Review - by Valli S.

Take care of your chickens, they will bring you money. Be sure to collect all valuable things found by the chickens. Collect coins as soon as possible. The longer the coin is available, the less valuable it becomes. You can buy upgrades to help manage your tasks. Beware of enemies who can steal or eat your chickens. After you’ve fed your chickens they will either lay eggs or put down coins. Silver coins are found by young chickens, and golden coins are found by grown-up chickens.

The music sounds like a down home on the farm type of music. It does seem to suit the game. However, I did find that it became monotonous after a time. There were hardly any sounds in this game. The only sounds I could pick up on were the clinging sounds when you retrieved the gold or silver coins and bird sounds. Since Chicken Chase did not measure up very well in this category, I only gave it a rating of five.
SOUND & MUSIC: 5

In level 1, you had to collect 15 silver or gold coins to complete the level. In level 2, you had to collect 10 white eggs to complete the level. In level 3, it was your task to raise 12 chickens. You could either hatch them or buy them, but in this level you can only buy a maximum of five chickens. In level 4, you had to earn $1500 to complete the level. You also have to watch for ravens that will try to steal your chickens. Roosters will protect your chickens. In level 5, you must earn $5,000 to complete the level. The specialty store is now open. You may sell your chickens to the specialty store for money.

In level 6, you must hatch or buy a total of 20 chickens. The specialty store has additional items to purchase including an upgrade for food. This food upgrade will allow you to throw down more seeds at one time. In level 7, you must earn $7,000 in seven minutes or less. There is also a surprise button in this level. White eggs hatch into layer chickens, blue eggs hatch into broody chickens and dark gray eggs hatch into roosters. In this category, Chicken Chase scored well so I gave it a rating of eight.
GAMEPLAY: 8

In this game there were white, blue, and gray eggs, there were chickens, a doghouse, a dog, a farmhouse, a barn, ravens, roosters, feed that you put down for the chickens to eat, and gold and silver coins. I gave the game's graphics a rating of seven.

It was fun seeing the chickens grow up from little babies into adults. There was a mild amount of action when several ravens would swoop down at once to try to steal the chickens. You have to be very fast in order to keep them all at bay... I gave the game's fun factor a rating of seven.
FUN: 7

Final conclusion:
If you like playing a farm type game, then this is the game for you. I also feel that this game would be quite suitable for younger children. I think it would help to strengthen their eye to hand coordination skills.
