Travelogue 360: Paris Review - by Urmii B.
In this game the player becomes a tourist as well as an explorer. The game takes players to famous Parisian landmarks and locales of interest to hunt for specific items. This is the first casual game that allows players to search for objects in a 360-degree spherical point of view using photography of historical buildings and landmarks in Paris, a unique feature that uses patent-pending mechanics.
Travelogue 360: Paris takes you on a panoramic 360-degree view of Paris as you search hidden souvenirs. Among its renowned landmarks are hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Paris holds something new for each of its visitors. At each location, players will receive a list of items to find and souvenirs to collect for their suitcases. Along the way they will be interviewed for an upcoming feature article in the fictional Travelogue 360 magazine. The game includes hundreds of items to find which are new and different each time the game is played.
There is nothing new about the sound and music. A mild and calm music, which we can easily find in any kind of travel programme, goes on in the background. But the positive side to the music is that it does not disturb you to play or explore. The game has a very conventional musical format.

Here we can find hidden items in 3-dimensional views of the Eiffel Tower, down the champs Elysses, under the Arc dTriumphe, and other Parisian landmarks! There are 22 eye-catching locales in all as well as fun facts and mini games galore. The 3-dimensional view of the game captures all of the other things of the game. This is the most exciting treatment of the game. The scheme of its mild graphics does complete justice to this game. They are just made for each other. An extra effect can destroy the real effect of the game completely. The flight of our journey through the computer would have been hijacked by the extra effect of graphics...

At the time when I started playing the game I needed some time to understand what was happening as I was playing a travel game for the first time. But when I started understanding it, I got excited. It was an excellent feeling to explore a city like Paris through a game. Though I was a gamer, I completely forgot the existence of the screen between Paris and me. It felt as if I was walking on the streets of Paris. It was as real as that. But its 3 dimensional treatment sometimes breaks this feeling. At the same time I came to understand many things about Parisian culture.
I had intended to just glance at the content, but became so engrossed with the scavenger hunts and postcard puzzles that I played for over an hour. The puzzles and games are an easy and fun way to get to know Paris: from the Avenue des Champs d'Elysées to le Tour Eiffel. At each stage of the game you visit new areas of the city and search for items on a list; when you complete each area you learn something new about Paris and unlock new areas to explore. Over all, Travelogue 360(tm): Paris is a fun way to see all of the beautiful and historic places that make the City of Lights worth visiting.

This is a kind of travel game. This game can be a ticket to an incredible tour to Paris. The scenery of Paris is amazing. I love the way I can zoom in and out. The same thing can be said about the game itself. The main fun of this game lies in its different treatment with different kinds of gamers. For those gamers who are interested in photography the game can be a gift from God. For those families who are planning a vacation in Paris it is both fun and useful. It is certainly more entertaining than a guidebook. It is almost like being there.
The game gives its gamers a lot of information about the fascinating past of a city like Paris. So this game is much more than a simple computer game.
Above all the 3-dimensional treatment of the game is a different experience all together.
